Tuesday Classes
Power Skating + Stick Handling
This class pairs power skating with stickhandling so players build both at once, not one, then the other.On the skating side, we work forward stride power into fast feet, acceleration into bigger stride work, and crossovers, forward and backward, built up into overspeed. Players train backward C-cuts, backward acceleration, pivots, edge control, one-foot holds, and one-foot carving, transitions into two-foot tight turns, and stops that lead straight into crossover acceleration.
On the stickhandling side, players work one-foot holds and skating skills while handling the puck, building into fast hands, spinning the puck, toe drags, and one-hand stick holds. We also cover stationary puck handling, quick hands, reaches, toe drags, with a focus on head up, hands soft, wide stance, plus PEP work, using the boards, and different techniques for 1-on-1 moves.

Speed with Puck / Puck Protection / Taking Puck off Players - Puck Retrivals - passing and shooting
This class is built around real puck battles, protecting it, winning it back, retrieving it, and finishing the play.Players work speed with the puck: lateral movement, deceleration and acceleration, forward, backward, and crossovers, all at speed. We train puck protection, using the body to protect the puck, initiating contact to create space, and using speed out of protection to set up a move or a shot.
We also cover taking the puck off an opponent, angling, stick battles, and the stick work to strip the puck cleanly, plus how to use body contact safely and effectively through containment and stick-body mirroring. Puck retrievals are next: picking up pucks with speed on the boards or in open ice, playing with vision, staying safe on the boards, and using evasive technique under pressure.
We finish with passing, saucer passes and touch passes used in real game situations, and shooting: quick release, wrist shot, snap shot, backhand, and shots built for actual game situations.

Power Skating
Where speed gets built, one stride at a time.
We start with forward stride power and technique, turning it into fast feet, then build acceleration into bigger stride work. From there, players train crossovers, forward power and technique pushed into overspeed. On the backward side, we work backward C-cuts and crossovers into overspeed, along with backward acceleration and pivots.
Edge control rounds out the class, one foot holds, one foot carving the ice, one foot transitions into two foot tight turns and pivots. We finish with stopping, two foot stops that lead straight into crossover acceleration.

Learn to Skate
Every hockey player starts here - with skates on and a smile.Learn to Skate is where it all begins. This program is for brand new skaters who are stepping on the ice for the first time (or close to it). Our coaches keep it fun, safe, and high-energy - kids fall, they get back up, and before long they are moving on their own. No pressure, no rushing - just real progress at their pace, in a positive environment where every little win gets celebrated.
Players graduate to Foundations when they can:
- Skate unassisted across the rink (width, not full rink)
- Get up on their own after a fall
- Glide on their own
Best for: First time skaters and beginners who are not yet skating on their own.
Learn to Play - Foundations
The first real step into hockey. Foundations is for skaters who can move on their own and are ready to start becoming hockey players. This is where we build the skating base that everything else sits on - edges, balance, speed, and stopping - along with an introduction to sticks and pucks through fun drills and games. Players are grouped by age and skill level, so everyone is challenged and no one is left behind. Kids leave this program skating with real confidence - and having a blast doing it.
Players graduate to Level 2 when they can:
- Hold a one foot inside edge between two cones - with enough speed to carry it
- Hold a one foot inside edge on the circle
- Skate the full length of the ice without falling
- Stop one way
Best for: New hockey players and skaters graduating from Learn to Skate.
Learn to Play - Level 2
Real skating. Real puck skills. Real progress.Level 2 is for players who have their skating legs and are ready to put it all together. The focus is on the skills that make hockey click - crossovers, backwards skating, stopping both ways, and carrying the puck with speed. Sessions are higher tempo, with small-area games and drills that build hockey habits and confidence with the puck. Players are grouped by age and skill level so every skater is pushed at the right pace.
Players graduate to Level 3 when they can:
- Crossover both way
- Skate down the ice with a puck
- Skate backwards down the ice (falls are ok!)
- Two foot stop both ways
Best for: Players born 2019-2022 who have graduated from Foundations or have a season of hockey under their belt.
Learn to Play - Level 3
Where skills turn into game speed.Level 3 is our most advanced Learn to Play program - built for players who have the fundamentals down and are ready to be pushed. The focus is advanced skating, edge work, stickhandling, and executing skills at speed and under pressure. Sessions are fast-paced and competitive, but always positive - development over ego, every time. This is the program that gets players ready for the next step in their hockey journey.
Where players go next:
Level 3 players graduate into our Rep and Klevr programs/classes, or age out of Learn to Play ready for whatever comes next.
Best for: Players born 2019-2020 with a strong skating foundation who are ready to take their game to the next level.
